I agree. I hate that part where Bono is reading Bukowski poetry. I always turn the volume down or fast-forward to the next scene. In my opinion Bono is just a huge douche with fancy sunglasses and huge ego. I doubt that he really likes or understands Bukowski poems/novels. Other than that...

So... I finished reading Howard Sounes book yesterday. I agree, it is much better. It reads like a story, while Barry Miles Buk bio is written more like an encyclopedia. However I'd still suggest Barry Miles book to anyone. Especially if he/she is going to read it BEFORE Sounes book :)

Watched both DVDs. It's a "must have" for every Buk fan. Really enjoyed "There's Gonna Be a God Damn Riot in Here!" because of the intense, wild, insulting communication with audience. "The Last Straw" seems to be not so wild but also is a DVD that I'll watch over and over again.

Ordered both DVDs today. Very excited, can't wait to watch them.
