Currently sitting in Bukowski's favourite Philadelphia haunt. 17th Street Spot (now named Mr. Jay's Place). This place is where Bukowski drew his main influence for Barfly.
Brought my copy of "On Drinking" so I can read a few poems here.
Cheers motherfuckers. Have a great day.
Went to my local book store in search of this today. Went to the tiny poetry section and they only had pleasures of the damned.. A couple of days ago I would've bought it but thanks to this forum I didn't. Found another book shop who are keeping one for me, looking forward to reading it!
Would it be worth starting a thread to form a list of Bukowski's books that should be avoided(badly Martinized) against a list that is of authentic Bukowski work? Or is there a thread as such already? I'm new here
Edit: Just wanna say a big thanks to mjp for putting this all out there. I'll know...
Never knew there was a Bukowski forum and never met another person, that I know of, who has ever heard of him.
Bukowski is the fuckin best. Loving the forum and cheers all.
