    a horse named "Bukowski"

Search engines are weird. But they turn up some interesting stuff. Like the first race at Hollywood Park July 18, 1986. A horse named "Bukowski" entered with Valenzuela riding. Didn't do well.

    Harlan Ellison, RIP

Just noting that speculative fiction (not sci-fi) writer Harlan Ellison passed away a day or so ago. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/29/obituaries/harlan-ellison-intensely-prolific-science-fiction-writer-dies-at-84.html I seem to have a couple shelves of his books, etc. I don't know if any of...

Dennis Dunaway's book "Snakes! Guillotines! Electric Chairs!: My Adventures with the Alice Cooper Band"

Found this morning on Dennis Dunaway's phasebook feed. I thought I recognized that mug and then recognized the name. https://www.facebook.com/dunawaysrock/photos/a.142200359174178.27725.132808816779999/1837643496296514/?type=3&theater Dennis, I realize I'm late to the party, but I just read...

    translation into Persian

Woke up from my nap to hear the last of this short radio documentary on CBC Radio One this morning. It was, according to the schedule, a doc series called "Short Cuts" (taken from a BBC series). I managed to find it online. Nice little piece. Bukowski translated into Persian.

Charles BUKOWSKI – Portrait d’un vieux dégueulasse (DOCUMENTAIRE, 1986)

I know this has been found and talked about before. Now it's made it to utube. Hooray!

    fear the walking dead, bukowski

Last week's episode was entitled "Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame". Even had one of the female leads saying "really?" in that sarcastic way some that I know do when she saw the book. There was fire and there was water in that episode. And there was the walking dead.

This is not "the fix is in".
  12. Digney in Burnaby

NYQ #39, Summer 1989: b as in bullshit

Another compare and contrast and vomit. (Sorry, the typesetting for this has the left edge far too left for the bound copies from that year.)

Appears in Slouching with the usual word diddles.

Bogg 67, 1995, hymn from the hurricane of the blinking eye

Published posthumously. The book version omits quite a bit of the original (if what Bogg 67 published was the original, or just an edit by someone only to later be edited again).

Got published in The Continual Condition with different line breaks, additional words ("she asked", "i answered") and lines edited out.

    Northwest Extra

Noted this publication on my facebook feed. I wasn't travelling much back around 1990 so I didn't know what got given away for free in Seattle. Don't know what Bukowski stuff made it to the pages. The post is from Art Chantry who did album covers for Estrus Records, etc., back in the 80s and...

    Illinois reading, 1974

This April 2, 1974 reading at the Illinois State University doesn't seem to be on the timeline. And I can't find it mentioned in a forum search. Don't know if he made it and did it. But he was scheduled to be there.

    New York Quarterly #21

I did a search and don't seem to have posted this. But my previous "nyq" shorthand comes up too short and is an "error" search. So, anyway, if this has been posted before please, moderators, delete. I Can Hear the Sound of Human Lives Being Ripped To Shreds is somewhat different to the version...
