What are you listening to? The world really needs to know. Volume 8

The novel it's based on is good also.

    Guitars, basses and other noisemakers

Well, to be fair I've never seen anyone play this song with their eyes open. Wait, that's not true. There was this open mic night a few years back at Bearly's House of Blues here in town. Sloppy Craig did a version where he made a point of maintain eye contact with the audience. He would pick...

I remember that part from the book and the movie. But math isn't my strong suit.

I posted this almost exactly 4 years ago. I'm posting it today for a totally different reason.

the late season - Stephen Hines

Hannah had a lapse in judgement and agreed to record a story with her fancy NPR mic. It's a perfect reading.

Opinions on whether this looks real?

Looks legit, but definitely rushed and/or sloppy. If it was a situation where he had to sign a bunch in one sitting things can get sloppy. It's happened to me. I've had to throw pages out because it doesn't look like my signature. But that might just be me. I'm odd like that.

What are you listening to? The world really needs to know. Volume 8

So I'm having a few drinks and watching some YouTube, letting the autoplay do its thing. I was listening to some post punk stuff(Joy Division, Siouxie and the Banshees, Killing Joke, etc.) and I shit you not this showed up in the autoplay.

    What Are You Reading?

Depends on the book. Maybe? When I first read Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas it was after a night of drinking. I read it in one sitting before going to bed. But I think that was an anomaly. I think after a few glasses I would lose focus now. But I'm old. Ha.

    THIS IS NOT A TEST

Hannah was always here. That's the way I see it. She was here but hidden because of society, etc. We all have our public and private sides, Hannah's private side had been very private. I will say I have an advantage in dealing with this because I've only known Hannah virtually. I don't get the...

    Seen any bad movies lately?

Yeah, that was a stinker. I was looking forward to it (it has the baseball!) but it was a disappointment.

I think about Amy Winehouse quite a bit. I loved her two proper studio albums, but she was still reacting to (against?) her influences. Who knows what was to come, maybe a long fizzle to Vegas shows and cruise ship headlining. Whatever. We should all fail so well.

Was the mjp moniker a choice to get away from the obviously masculine Michael? Or am I reading to much into things. Also, Hannah is a great name. All the Hannah's I've known have been great people. So, you know, don't mess that up for me. I kid, of course.

    I have a question

Well, now I have egg on my face. Wait, I just took the kids to Denny's, so maybe that's just friendly fire.
