Looking at the auctions with high asking prices it seems like there may be something in the water. Is anything selling for these prices? I don't look at eBay very often these days. Some of the prices seem utterly insane.

Well, the frame and matting are clearly worth $7,200 (labor and materials ain't cheap these days, don't you know).

you'd think someone who owned a bookstore would have a somewhat reasonable idea of what things are worth, even at "bookstore" prices vs. eBay prices. guess not.

I periodically look at this one on eBay and it's never looked quite right to me, but it's probably just the glass distorting it a bit.

That always makes me wonder. Using a fuzzy picture from a 2003 flip phone to illustrate something the seller is asking thousands of dollars for. Not sure what they expect from that.
