Thanks, Ponder, for the link. Here's something Jack wrote in Open City about Bukowski. Almost 40 years ago to the week, December 20, 1968. (Had to squeeze it down a bit to fit. Hope it's readable. My eyes are so gone and used to bad photocopies from microfilm I'm grateful for anything somewhat legible.)

I have seen Bukowski, in some of his L.A. Free Press stories, sign off as "Charley the Buk". Maybe only once. I'll try to find it.
