Favorite Bukowski Readings (Audio)

been looking for some of his released cds,
i'm not sure what other roads to take next... i'm sure they are all good.
advice? run with the hunted?

Poems and Insults gets my pick.

yes, 'Poems & Insults' is great.
'Hostage' is too.

Instead of 'Run with the Hunted' you'd better reach for the more complete version of the same reading: 'Charles Bukowski Uncensored'.

Uncensored is my favorite.
One of the highlights: when Buk starts stuttering over a word,
and tries to read the line over and over again.
I forgot which word. Linda laughs on the background.
Buk slightly irritated?

I just bought Uncensored, it's really great, but I wondered where I could find the "censored" session. Was it released together with the book? Or maybe sold separately? Is it worth purchasing it, as I already have Uncensored?

The censored version was a cassette only release, just edited from the full session which is more or less what you have with the 2 CD uncensored. There's nothing on the Run With The Hunted Cassette that isn't on the Uncensored CDs.

Definately agree with "Uncensored" as the favorite. I don't know, I think they're all good and fitting for any Buk fan to own, but "Uncensored" is a must have.

i like Hostage the best, entertainment-wise. damn funny to hear him going at it with the audience...

"The law is wrong; I am right"
'At Terror Street And Agony Way' (2-CD) ain't bad either...
