Hi, I'm trying to find a copy of my favorite book of Bukowskis, but it seems the only copies in existence are first editions. Does anyone know of a publisher still printing it?
The only copies ever made were the now-very-expensive first edition.
Many of the poems are collected in later editions (Roominghouse Madrigals, Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame, and The Days Run Away Like Wild Horses Over The Hills) and the two not collected are scanned here in the forum:
'I taste the Ashes of your Death' is collected in The Days Run Away..., so only one of those "bestial" poems is uncollected.
The ones which are collected in The Roominghouse Madrigals must be taken with a grain of salt because many of them are not identical with the original versions, for example I Cannot Stand Tears.
