I just got word from Ed Blair that Lou fell and hit her head a couple days ago and is in the hospital. Apparently she is doing better and should be out of the hospital in a week or two.

Wishing her all the best. She really is a special lady.

If anyone wants to do a get well card, I can get it to her. Just let me know.

Lou is in a retirement home in Slidell. She is confind to bed. The place is clean and nice. Occasionally they take in a wheelchair to dine with ohers
there or to watch TV. Saw her two weeks ago and she was in good spirits. I think she is closing in on 102.

Need to get back to Slidell one of these days to see Lou. Spent a night at a Super 8 there one night... all I can say is that it was cheap and clean, which was good because I couldn't afford New Orleans that night. Lucinda wrote a nice song (partly) about that gritty little shit hole...

(Not saying that Lou isn't in a good place and Mr. Blair has a lot to do with that. The man sold his collection to help her.)
