A great friend and admirer of Buk, to boot.
He was The Actor (as I already had said), and I loved the way he read portions from Buk's poem Torched-Out in Born Into This.
Ruminating about death in a 2013 interview in The New Yorker, he said, “When you’re deep asleep and not dreaming, where the fuck are you? There’s total blackness, it’s nothing, right? So I’m hoping that’s what death is, that it’s all gonna go. I don’t want to deal with any consciousness afterward.”
