That's not exactly an original idea around here, that Bukowski wouldn't have liked this - or many of us (and you) - but there aren't a whole lot of original ideas floating around these days, so don't feel bad.

You seem to be someone who just came for a hit and run...seem to be anyway...and you probably won't be around for long, so go ahead and get whatever else you want to say out of your system while you have a chance.

whats with all this? someone comes along and says hi, then says something a bit critical and then we're all supposed to go nuts and then someone else gets ejected? I dunno, i see that most folks who stick around do very little trolling or flaming, but this seems to be another alergic reaction... sometimes our skins are a little too thin.

i don't believe horses are ignorant, but i do think bukowski would hate all our guts, all the time. lets not be so precious

No sir, it's just that there's a pattern, and I can smell it on this one. It's always been the same, from BBSs to usenet to forums today to whatever weird non-social interaction we dream up in ten years. There is a certain type who's only reason for being is to stir up shit.

If I'm wrong about this one, then I'm wrong. I waited with a couple of people who I thought might be trouble makers and they worked out after all, so I'm not saying I'm the supreme know-it-all. I don't think I've pulled the plug on anyone prematurely yet, and I won't do so this time. Just my prediction that that is how it's going to end up with this one. If he/she proves me wrong, I'll admit I was wrong and everyone can jeer.

I just wanted to say hello here instead of posting another introduction thread. I've been reading this site for a few months, and find it to be the best Buk site on the net. Kudos! I've been reading Bukowski for about 20 yrs now. He's by far my favorite American writer of the 20th century.
