In which order?

Hope someone can help me here. I'm new to Bukowski books and have only read one so far, Ham On Rye. I also have Women, but I don't want to read it yet as I assume they follow on from one another? What is the right order of the Chinaski books, or can they be read in any order? Sorry if this is somewhere else on the site. If so could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks. :)

What is the right order of the Chinaski books?

...So that would be Ham on Rye first, then Factotum, then Post Office, Women, Hollywood and, lastly Pulp.

Although technically....

Never mind.

My advice:
Start with novels: Ham on Rye, Factotum, Post Office - NOT HOLLYWOOD OR PULP
Also short stories: South of No North, Tales of Ordinary Madness, Hot Water Music, The Most Beautiful Woman in Town, and also Notes of a Dirty Old Man.

Doesn't matter what order really.

You can also read the poetry. I don't think it matters so much where you start, but if you have trouble getting into the poetry, why not ease into it by reading poetry/short stories like Septuagenarian Stew.

Then you can go on to Hollywood and Pulp - it'll be worth it.

There you go!
