Literary Criticism of Buk's Stuff?

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any Literary analysis of Buk's stuff? I've read "Locked in the Arms of a Crazy Life" by Howard Souness, but would love to see differing opinions of his structure and style.

Also, what would Buk of made of these internet sites?

Against the American Dream by Russell Harrison and Charles Bukowski by Gay Brewer are probably your best bet.

Robert Peters had an interesting essay on Bukowski in his book "The Great American Poetry Bake-Off" titled "Gab Poetry, or Duck vs. Nightingale Music". That was 1975.

Earlier stuff can be found in the Webb's journal "The Outsider". Bukowski was their "outsider of the year" back in the early 1960s. Corrington and others weighing in.

A couple reviews/critiques of Bukowski in Event and Evidence. Your local university might have them buried in the stacks if they put out their own lit mags back into the 1960s and 70s.

There are theses and dissertations out there, too.

I've got

"HENRY CHINASKI'S FUTILE ROAD FROM SELF-PROTECTION TO SELF-DESTRUCTION IN THE WORKS OF CHARLES BUKOWSKI"

by a certain Javier Avila, submitted to Indiana University of Pennsylvania (what the hell kind of name is that?), May 2003.

Barry Miles will undoubtedly have written a book on Bukowski at some point. He's done just about everybody else.
