Does anyone know the name of the poem whereby Bukowski was driving a mail truck and trying to get home before Miriam left? He abandoned the truck, ran home and found a note saying she got sick of waiting and left.
According to where he says he abandoned the truck in that poem, he may well have worked out of the Pico Heights station, 90006. At least for a time in '53, '54, before becoming a clerk at Terminal Annex.
But unfortunately not on the "Solid Citizen" CD, which is also a recording of the German reading. It should be forbidden to edit out poems from a recorded Buk reading...:mad:
