When I was in SF, CA last year, I kept running into Jonathan Richman. I'm not a fan, but know who he is. He has an interesting voice. I'd probably get into him if I gave it a shot. It was just very strange that I kept turning around and there he was... He seems to be a friend of Hirschman's. I saw him at at least 4 different events over as many days.

i was pretty sad to hear of vic chesnutt's passing, too - an amazingly gifted songwriter, he will be missed.
