Smog Cutter in east Hollywood (now "Virgil Village") is often referred to as a Bukowski bar and it shows up in the opening title sequence for Barfly. It happened to be my neighborhood bar for a long while so I'm curious how it came to be known as such. Any mentions by Bukowski?
