Supporting Member

As Gerard mentions, but shouldn't there still be a place to support? Once our supporting membership runs out, is there a contingency plan? Or is mjp going to auction off his collection?:eek:

Oh. So you are constantly supporting?
I believe I heard something of a priveledged forum formatted in gold along with a lot of rare bukowski findings?

Thanks, I appreciate the generous offers, and if I was a member myself and not the head janitor, I would probably be making similar offers.

But the cost to me to run this joint is marginal. Honestly, it's a few hundred bucks a year, and I can afford it, so I don't want anyone to feel obligated to chip in to keep things going.

As for the work that goes into the various non-forum aspects of the site, I would be doing that anyway. I needed the timeline, and I needed the database, that's why they are there. I am not an altruist or a philanthropist. ;)

But I am an old internet geek, and when we started this whole web thing (me and Al Gore), the idea was to share information, not to sell it.

Having said that, every day I go to an office and sit around making a living off the internet, but those kind of business related things are not as much fun as this forum. So let's keep it fun and keep the idea of throwing any dough my way out of it.

But again, it makes me feel good to know you guys want to contribute, and that's more than enough thanks. Really.

Nice to know this, since I was interested in contributing too. Thanks for creating a GREAT site!

I was going to transfer like $50,000. to you to offset your gambling losses in the Casino. Well I guess it doesn't matter. ;)
