This Is Not The Titanic, 1974

From a mag I stumbled onto in Stonington, CT back in about 1990, This Is Not The Titanic, 1974. This makes a good companion piece to:

My Landlady - Wormwood Review - Vol. 11 - No. 4 - Page 134 - 1971
My Landlady And My Landlord - Mockingbird Wish Me Luck - pg. 44

Ha! That was awesome!!!!! I nearly choked on my water when he tells them their his new parents and kisses them on the head. The ending is Bukowski magic!

Thanks P.S.

Appreciate your friends

Last week I kissed my mother-in-law on the head as she lay dying. Purple posted this the day she died. She would have been 90 on Dec. 2nd born in 1920. Bukowski's generation from a different world than him.

I like the lines:

a gentle white smoke coming
from under the hood.

They set the whole scene. So much said in so few words.
