Unpublished introduction for Crucifix in a Deathhand

Again, I think -but I'm not 100% sure- this was written as an intro for Crucifix According to my notes, this intro dates from 1964, so you decide whether I'm right or wrong :cool:

I think this is very interesting piece, maybe not the best intro possible for Crucifix, but good writing nonetheless.

By the way, how many times do you think B told that El Paso bench story and reading Dos. the following morning?

Hundreds.

Probably a dozen times in print. Always within a different framework, usually with something different thrown in...that's how he got away with it. Well, that and having a thousand books out there...I don't think most people read them all and notice the repetition as much as some of us may.
