About 10 years ago, I was very pissed off to see that GPP had released this, after I had searched for all of the 'Trane Vanguard CDs. These contain some of the very best shit, along with Dolphy just being insane. Now I own most of these tracks, but I have to shell out another $50 or so to get another 5-10 tracks that are amongst the best in jazz history.

No wonder the music business sucks ass.

Anyway, I have become captivated with this:

The studio version sucks because it was recorded by some hip hop kids ( first time, first mistake ) but Harmonizer is a young and fresh band...if you like

I had a similar situation with an Ornette Coleman record that was a Japanese only vinyl release. I finally found it at a fairly steep price, but not as steep as I had seen it sell for and with obi strip still intact. a year or 2 later, Atlantic gives it a North America cd release at a "budget" price. heh.

o well. and I should mention the songs were on a box set that I already had, but to a record geek, that's not the point. ;)

I'm still working my way through this:

You're right, my favourite Probot song is "Access Babylon" with Bubba Dupree
( Void ) on guitar and Mike Dean ( Corrosion of Conformity, Snakenation, Nine-
finger ) on bass/vocals. And I would like to add the first Scream record.
