I'm scratchin' my head trying to remember Watermelon Sugar. I read it many, many years ago and liked it then. But, there's a lot of stuff I liked as a kid which I can't connect with anymore.

I can't even commit to memory the full titles of most of his books. But I remember (most of) the poems and stories in them.

"One of these days!" The Honeymooners is the greatest. Loved that show. All the ups and downs of the human tragedy played out as a comedy which everyone relates to and doesn't feel so alone in their misery anymore.

I got some lines and artifacts, but they popped in only once in a while. Sure beats the reading at Bellvue quality! I'm real happy with both these DVDs. Great addition to my growing collection.

Maybe you should just take nominations up to a certain date in the future and then hold the official voting. In the meantime mjp* could write a small database app that would tally the votes. *I'm suggesting mjp because I think he's doing a terrific job running this website.

Okay. I'll cast my vote for Jane. She played an important role in Buk's early life and her influence stayed with him long after she died.
