I bought a book of Raymond Carver's short stories, I even managed to read 6-8 of them. That was one book that I didn't feel good about donating to a local charity shop. Which I usually do with books I've read, but I wonder who bought it after me. (Poor thing).

A female poet (I can't remember her name, but I saw some of her stuff in a British small-press zine) said that Bukowski was 'the piss-stain of Celine'. Now, I love Buk AND Celine, but I can see why she said it. Does anyone else see what she might of meant, even though she was, in my opinion...

Over here in England some of us are partial to cider; very refreshing, especially in summer..me, I'll drink just about anything else too..however Budweiser is being heavily promoted over here these days, and I find that resoundingly bland..sorry America.
