    Elizabeth Smart is worth checking out, she didn't write loads, but she's brilliant. Also another dead English female poet, Stevie Smith. Don't know if these poets' stuff is at all known in the States..

    Writers You Can't Stand. And Why...

    I bought a book of Raymond Carver's short stories, I even managed to read 6-8 of them. That was one book that I didn't feel good about donating to a local charity shop. Which I usually do with books I've read, but I wonder who bought it after me. (Poor thing).

    I'm loving Caitlin Rose right now, she's country-pop. I'm very taken with her wonderful clear voice and melodies. Have ordered her album 'Own Side Now' from my local C.D. shop, so something to look forward to. Have been listening to her on myspace..

    Over here in England some of us are partial to cider; very refreshing, especially in summer..me, I'll drink just about anything else too..however Budweiser is being heavily promoted over here these days, and I find that resoundingly bland..sorry America.
