And now 3,000 threads. It is impressive for the relatively small user base that we have.

I thought I knew a lot about Bukowski when this started. But I've learned more about him and his work in 2 1/2 years here than I did in the 15+ years of reading him in the dark, scary pre-forum world. ;)

Simply put, the fact that academe has poo-pooed Bukowski's work for so long means that the folks on this forum are the world's foremost scholars on all things Bukowski...

That's what I think anyways--& it's precisely what drew me here...the chance to learn from all you drunken, cheap-jack professors! Honestly, I'm amazed by the collective knowledge & info here--thanks to you all for sharing, & I look forward to learning more.

...and you have over 5000 posts. That's like a novel. Yes, you have some very entertaining stuff in that.

I tried to slow down to let one of you fuckers catch up before I got to 5000, but it didn't work.

Most users ever online was 189, 11-02-2008 at 12:48 PM.

Just out of curiosity ... what was going on 11-02-08 that attracted 189 people?

No. I won it and it's a 1984 Plymouth Reliant K-car 4-door automatic and air.

Oh! I forgot the beautiful Brown vinyl top.

No. Just the stock AM radio and half a tank of twenty year old gas. What else do you need, really?

...and all to stay on the good side of all the chicks on the forum who would have been offended by the alternative. Good job on that for sure.

I for one am okay with being censored and I know I need it sometimes.

That's much better.

Now we are coming up on 60,000 posts and 2000 members. It's like a city in here.

In 3 short years.
