There were tons of Pulp Fiction clones that came out and the only one that I would say shouldered up to it evenly was Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels. Ritchie sort of got derailed with that whole Madonna affair.

This is the only film I viewed multiple times at a movie house. Not in my favorite 10 due to the fact I've settled for mediocrity over the years (never too late to change that). Watching it right now on TCM.

The director's cut of Amadeus is worth watching. You get the story of why Constanze has such a beef with Salieri (which I never quite understood while watching the original) and a few other tidbits. There's also a good "making of," and a director's commentary, which I have to admit, I've never listened to (the director's cut is really long - I'm not sure I need three hours of Milos Forman talking about locations and sets and whatnot).

I know of the scene you speak of. Never listened to the commentary track, either, and the director perhaps offers his rationale for cutting the scene. Regardless of the reason it should have been left in.

Watched recently Le Notti Bianche a.k.a White Nights, an adaptation from Dostoevsky short story, i think it's very true to Doestoevsky story, great score too, much like the film, it's hauntigly sad.

Every country has their own unique slang term for the girl depicted in this film. She's from Essex and I believe would be regarded as a chav. Good film IMO.

There's nothing more awesome than a band that plays at such a low volume that you can hear the guitars cracking when they destroy them.

I didn't know that, the Blu Ray release is very well deserved. I'm sure it will be great. The shark scene is awesome mixed with fabio frizzi score, and what we have is a cult classic.

This is a difficult thread.
I've thought about it for weeks.
One scene that comes to mind is the opening scene in Saving Private Ryan.
I'm too lazy to find a link from Google, but, its a super popular movie and I'm sure many of you have seen it.

Not sure about the opening. Been a while since I've watched the whole thing. I like this "gripes go up" scene. Seems to answer the "what's your book about?" question.
