Buk Trivia... Answerer becomes next Questioner

Roni, it's all in the timeline. maybe you missed it?
Oh, yes, this is me - I MISS so many things ALL of the time!
What happened to this manuscript? Are there any parts left?

I thought, Hackford only had the rights for 'Post Office' - or did I miss something AGAIN? :-))

as far as I know, Hackford did NOT buy the rights to shoot Women... and no one has the manuscript of B's first attempt to write a novel... well, maybe the skimo has it :D

Petey

RIP
Keep an eye on my username. In which short story Bukowski mentioned the
character of "Petey the owl".
By the way i don`t like this story very much (because it`s too fictional)
but the name sounds very cool.

"Petey the owl will blow me for a buck!"
That was The Fuck-Machine, my dear!

Talking of funny nicknames:
How much is the weight of Jimmy the Dwarf and what did he have?

Bukfan

"The law is wrong; I am right"
Thanks! - and thank god that there's only a few of those...

an easy one:
according to myth, to whom did B allegedlly lose his virginity? please provide all the basic details: weight, profession... ;)

O, that was way too easy, even for me. I should take back that answer and give a really sophisticated smartass answer like:
His MENTAL verginity was lost to a certain Lila Jane, weight: not listed, profession: school-girl. notable: different panties every day.
Feel much better with this one.

o.k., here's a nice one:
What keeps Bukowski from total madness?

(in case this is too hard, I have a little tip prepared for you already.)

Wow! That was fast!
I didn't know this quote was so well known in the US!
[since in fact, the original drawing and handwriting was done in a message to his German publisher Benno Kaesmayr of MaroVerlag
(who was the first to publish a book of Bukowski-poetry in Germany in the early 70s btw).
]
So let's see what you come up with!
