Bukowski Bust

A friend of mine has a Buddy Jesus action figure. I think he's standing on a platform with little plastic wheels (like the old McDonalds toys, but without the mechanism to make him really move).

I have a Jesus action figure but it's not the 'Buddy', he came with a plastic bowel of loaves and fishes! The Christmas before The Pope died we got Pope action figures into my store, they were larger than Barbie; like GI-Joe sized. They sold like fucking hotcakes! People were buying 5 and 6 at a time. I've never been an e-bay watcher, but I always assumed these pulled in few extra bucks down the line. They were really cool/funny. I know a couple of coworkers that picked them up for collection and Christmas gifts! CRB:)

Hi,
I love how they credit this to Dead Kennedys, which it is not. This is Jello Biafra and Mojo Nixon. I have the CD here. Very odd, but remarkably addictive.

hello buk fans... my husband fred voss bought a copy of Linda King's Bukowski in 1996 for $1600--which she delivered personally... why it costs so much is the foundry fee; it's bronze cast from a clay model she designed in 1972... it's beautiful... weighs a ton, it seems, now sits high on my rolltop desk... joanjobesmith
