So do I. Only discovered a couple of years ago what it actually meant. I thought it was lots of love, then I started seeing it in the middle of texts and got annoyed.
When I asked at work why people were putting lots of love in the middle of texts... well, they LTAO.

Also I recently overheard my daughter and her friends saying it out loud as a word, when I said that's not a real word she said; it is now.

she's right. it is.
In German it's not even pronounced with seperate letters ("El-o-el"), but like one word ("Loll").
