I was big on him in college, read several of his short story collections. I thought he was great, and I'm sure he influenced my early fiction, but at some point I lost track of him. I was just recently thinking I'd like to reread him.
I know "Indian Uprising" pretty well since I've taught it several times. That is a pretty odd one. But then "odd" is probably an odd word to describe most Post-post-post-modern-deconstructive-post-structural etc....fiction, "fiction"...
