Frank Stanford, New to Me

Who here has heard of poet Frank Stanford? And if so what is your estemed opinion?

Recently I checked out his collected works "What About This" from the library. Didn't really know what to expect and I was not extremely impressed. Most of the poems just didn't seem to say very much to me, kind of boring. Pretty lyrical I guess, the types of poems that certain people would love to dissect word by word and line by line, which isn't what I'm trying to do.
