I said they 'might' have produced something, I don't know if any of them have done that. It was a speculation of very less importance. In fact I had translated a few poems and had sent them to an underground magazine, they had rejected those. :)
English literary scene of India is fucked. No good writers so far. Phony pieces of shit are plenty and they sell good too. And no street credentials for these elitist cocksuckers. India is a doomed State in my opinion. Democracy is fucked, culture is fucked etc. There are about 30 states here and each has its own language and elites speak English. Middle class tries to copy the elites. India in most parts is where America was 70-80 years ago culturally, socially. And the literary language is mostly the native one. Some states are as big as some big European countries with a population that overflows. So literary scene of every state is different. A few poets, writers creating good stuff and dying poor or going insane or burning out. Society moves on. The thing is Indian languages are fighting a final war against English for quite some decades now. My prediction is they are gonna lose it in next 200 or so years. And then India culturally will be a colony of America and the West, if it doesn't go down the drain before that. It is not necessarily a good thing or a bad thing. It is just a minor cultural change in the big scheme of things. And besides the poverty and inequality is very big a problem here. Third world country. So culture, poetry, writing etc. are at the bottom of the things to be worried about. Consumerism is taking a giant hold since last 2 decades after India liberalized the economy and gave open grounds for American capitalism. etc. etc.
