If Bukowski were alive and unknown today,

On a related note, if Mozart were alive and unknown today...
He would write hundreds of stale, academic pieces that would get butchered on American Idol, only to produce a gem or two, largely masses (which would be confused as ads for toilet paper) that would go unnoticed until the next century.

You think?

I figured he'd be an opening act on big summer festivals that Maroon 5 or Bon Hiver headlined and work on building a web site that sold background music to the indie film community; WAmMo.biz. And a podcast, he'd have one of those on wammo.biz. The Lone Wolf Internet Jive Hour. And I'd run into him at New Media Expo every year, and he'd always have a new project that would inevitably fail horribly, and every time I saw him he would forget my name and ask me if I "knew any angel investors" that could help him out.

But would he appear on Saturday Night Live? That's all that matters.
