That is just absolutely unbelievably beautiful.
I am determined to visit OZ within two years. Will drive up NW coast from Brisbane to Townville. Should be long enough to get me used to driving on the "wrong" side of the road !

I'd go further North if I was you. It would be a shame to go that far and not to keep going. Far North Queensland (FNQ) is beautiful. Try and get as far as Cape Tribulation if you can. You have to watch when you go though. The Southern Hemisphere summer is actually the wet season up there so it's best to go during our summer. Even Brisbane is pretty hot and steamy if you go in their summer (think Florida in July).
