The above reminds me of The Boiler by The Special with Rhoda Dakar. Same concept.
I first heard this on the end credits of a film and was smitten enough to buy the album.

Anybody seen the movie? Looks kind of cheesy to me, I can't picture Johnny Depp as John Dillinger at all. But I read it's supposed to be pretty good?

Here's a good song although my wife pointed out that the chorus is "Penny Lane". Bc she has 2 music degrees right away she hears things like this all the time.

Yikes. I don't think you need a music degree to hear that...appropriation. Or is it an homage? It's so obvious it makes me think maybe it was done on purpose.

If not, it's always surprising to me that no one points things like that out to the "artist." A lot of people hear that before it's too late to change it.
