Hell, I'm just no good at thinking up new questions; so can I please nominate HenryChinaski to think of one for me? :D

Good Idea!

Here goes: Okay, this is a really easy one.

What was the name of Bukowski's cell mate, that he had when he was held in Moyamensing Prison, in Philadelphia?

and also, for imaginary bonus points, what was he know or described as?

Courtney Taylor, described as "Public enemy no. one" by himself (Years later he featured on FBI's "ten most wanted" list). Right?

Ok, this is also an easy one...

Who wrote the poem "You don't know what love is" about Buk?

All I have found so far is a letter from Buk to E. V. Griffith, June 6, 1958 in "Screaming...", where he says that he's thinking about using the title of one of his short stories, "Confessions of a Coward and Man Hater" for the title of his upcoming chapbook. It was eventually called "Flower, Fist and Bestial Wail".
It does'nt say in what year "Confessions..." was actually written, so I'll guess it's 1958, the same year the letter to Griffith was written...

Ok, I think I've got it now. It was published as a new years gift from Black Sparrow in 1995 and deals with his marriage with Barbera Frye. - Right?
(thank you Sounes :))

Shit! - Sounes does'nt mention that...After someone has answered the question, you must tell me where you found that info..

I can understand that! :) - I have all the paperbacks from BS/Ecco/City Lights/Paget including all the books of letters and the bios by Sounes, Cherkovski and Miles plus some books with Buk recollections etc. and I have'nt found anything as to when it was written. Of course, I could easily have overlooked it, but I have a hunch that you have the info from a book not to be found in bookstores. Anyway, you really found a tough question here and I look forward learn the name of your source...
And for your insane giggling to stop...:D

OK.

What was Buk's address when he lived in Philadelphia (when NOT in Moyamensing)?

This one should be an easy one for Buk.net fans...

okay, I can't really think right now, so here's an easy one.
this may have already been asked before but:

what is the name of the ship that the Bukowski family traveled on when they came to the U.S. ?

AHAHAHAH TOLD YOU IT WAS EASY

You bet! - Since I have answered this very question once before in this thread! - SS President Fillmore.

Next Question: Weissner's translation of "Notes of a Dirty Old Man" was published in Käln/Cologne. What was the name of the company?
